any thought to including gesture or object recognition within live video stream so as to attain metrics (velocity, time, distance) right after the desired measured event occurs? for example, display the time for a run up to kick a soccer ball or contact with raquet from the lift of a tennis ball in a serve or pitching a baseball.

well that is about as thorough as an answer as I could have hoped for! I will give it a shot.

thank you, Joan.

I find myself shooting my slo mo video with my Note 7 at 240 fps more and more but most of my slo mo files are at 210 or 420 fps via my Casio FH20. Is it possible to convert and then save the 240 fps vids to 210 or 420 fps in Kinovea?

ease of use when you have several in a video.

I do alot of video work with athletes who train with devices that force them to focus/read and react/move in preparation for participation in their sport. one of the things i find helpful to show them is a time "progression" of what they are doing. typically, I have to set up several chronometers and then start and stop them as the main chronometer counts the time off. it would be nice to be able to set up a template which daisy chains several chronometers in the sequence they will start and stop.

Hey Joan, just got around to testing. SUCCESS!!!  :-)

I have sent you an email with a link to a video of this along with the Log file created in the hope that it might be of assistance.

Thank you, Joan.

I am playing catch up after a too long hiatus! (BTW, very happy to see I can now contribute financially!)

Thanks, Joan. I did manage to get the view from Google Chrome but I am getting "an error occurred during connection test: ".

Any thoughts? (I am using IP Webcam app).

After going thru the Forums it would seam as though this is being done.  I have installed IP Webcam on my 'droid but I can't get this to work. Is Bluetooth a requirement for the PC where I am running Kinovea?

I use 8.15 for my regular work on my "A" PC and 8.24 on my "B" PC. Will there be technical issues if I were to bring 8.24 over to my A PC and leave 8.15 there as well?

Thank you, Joan!

So I guess we can assume that Kinovea will only "see" those which stream MJPEG?

Undoubtedly, I am missing something here but as I've tried for a hew hours AND read thru the forums on network camera set up without having any luck, it's time to throw in the towel and ask for help! :-) I am trying to use the wireless smart camera from my drone in the software and am getting nowhere. Any one else doing this?

I am also getting started using the PS3Eye and it looks like a great camera.  I am hoping to be able to run simultaneous capture from two cameras, front and side.

If you use the PS3 Eye, check out this thread for a link to the drivers and Kinovea config file.

I use them and they're terrific. Can do 125 fps (with some loss of clarity of image) as well.
