I am wondering if it is possible to pull a RTSP stream through from a camera, i noticed you are able to get images from a h t t p stream but the cameras i am using does not support this.

I have been trying to get this to work on main stream and sub streams, using the rtsp user:password@ip/stream which is similar to the http address required.

Is this something that would available in future a future release?

It is not currently possible.
I think the way to go with this would be to have a VLC backend as capture source and leverage all the streams that VLC supports.

+1 for this feature request:
Support for h264 streams (through VLC backend?) would be a huge improvement of Kinovea, since all modern ip-camera's stream h264 instead of MJPEG.

Would be really useful for me as well.
