Angles not plotting like they are shown

In my video, I have an angle being traced and it looks good in the video but thoes angles are not the ones being plotted. For example the video shows a 60 deg angle but that data point cant be seen on the graph.

7min startup time

Dear Kinovea community and developers. I am experiencing very long startup times of the order of 10 min. I think this is related

463239 - DEBUG - [Main] - RootKernel - Modules tree built in 462636 ms.

Looks like this is scanning all the cloud drives and my phone connection (through Phone Link). Is there a way to stop Kinovea to scan these drives? Local drives are sufficient for me.

Occasional Delay timer bug in 2025.1

I'm testing a high speed camera in Kinovea. I defaulted Kinovea by removing the preferences.xml file.
The delay timer seem to get messed up- I had to set the delay to 10.0 to get 1 second of pre-recording, the end timer seems to work ok i.e. If I set to 10 I get 10 seconds of total recording. If I go below 10.0 on the delay timer it acts like there is no delay. I don't know if its related to the camera. Its a machine vision camera running at 790fps using DirectShow not GenIcam.

I can do a screen recording to show the issue if required.

Kinovea Does Not Load

Kinovea splash screen appears, then disappears, then nothing else happens. Tried on both installation and portable versions, also tried older versions of Kinovea down to 2023 and it still does not load. Laptop running on Windows 11 Home, has .NET Framework 4.8. This is what the log shows:

Flickering Exported Video

I am doing an annotation, but whenever I export the video and watch it on my Media Player, the video keeps flickering.

Is there any way to fix this? this has been happening for almost 5 annotations already.

Clicking timeline should not move position when close to current time

There's no easy way to go back or forward in time in chunks bigger than key frames that is centered at current time/frame.

This can be done via dragging playback timeline cursor, but here comes inconvenient side effect - it's impossible to click on timeline cursor without jumping current video frame to something else. Understandably it's a feature for moving cursor somewhere else entirely, but if the click points to time within interval around current time (especially when it's a drag event start) it should assume that the click is done on exact current time and change video frame only on drag, which also should be calculated assuming that drag motion started at current time on timeline. This way you'll have a convenient way to move around current time.

Scrolling via frames (which is now on mouse wheel) is great, but this will give a stronger scroll which doesn't jump around at the beginning of the action.

Kinovea 2024.1 wont start on Win 11 Enterprise LTSC oder Win 10 LTSC

As the title says, the latest Kinovea, but i tried the older ones as well, both portable and installs, wont start on Windows 10/11 Enterprise LTSC. On a normal Windows 11 Enterprise or 10 Professional thers no Problem.
The Splash screen appears but than it disappears and nothing more happens.
I tried looking into the log files, but there doesnt seem to be anything useful there.

This is happening on a Laptop with 13900HX, 96GB Ram, Geforce 4070 8GB. I have 3 separate installs on the same PC on different SSDs. on the normal Win 11 Enteprise it always loads, on teh LTSC ones it doesnt load.

Video Not Rendering to Completion

I'm experiencing an issue where videos under 25 seconds are not rendering completely. Specifically, as soon as a file is opened, the last dozen or so frames—about one second—are cut off and not displayed on the timeline.
For example, a 1.79-second video renders as 1.33 seconds, indicating a loss of approximately 15 frames.

Operating Environment

OS: Windows 11

Software: Kinovea ver1.2

Video File Format: mp4

Frame Rate: 23.98-24 fps
