Joan,

Moved over to 0.9.5 and found a new issue in response to the image being flipped using the Daheng Monochrome cameras. I'm getting an execution error when using compression now. Also, I have the copied bug report for both 0.9.4 and 0.9.5. Would you like them posted here or can I send a text file? Unfortunately, it will not let me post two links as I have both 0.9.4 and 0.9.5 showing the same error. If you would like the 0.9.4 video link let me know.

I think that is a wonderful idea as well.

however im finding that at 100 FPS in getting a lot of club motion blur

Motion blur comes from the shutter speed/exposure time of the camera. Frames per second are the number of captures over a period of time and will not impact the blur you are seeing unless it is also adjusting the shutter speed/exposure time. You can have 30 fps captures that are perfectly still shots with no blur if you can decrease the exposure time.

The issue with 330 is that there is a flicker in the image that makes it unwatchable has anyone else managed to get this working?

This may be due to LED lighting or a projector where the frequency of the on/off cycling is being picked up by the camera.  Remove the projector or lighting you currently have from the equation. Please remember the projector is probably refreshing the lighting source at 60Hz. This means the bulb is flashing at 60 times per second and the camera will capture the on/off cycling. Most dimmable LED bulbs can address the issue with this and there is a ton of information on using the correct lighting for high-speed recordings. Try to record one camera outside with sunlight and see if you are still experiencing issues.

These two issues may be one and the same and you may find the FPS is tied to the exposure time.  I found out the hard way that a really nice high-speed camera looks poor without the correct lighting. To give you an idea have around 15k lumens for my swing recording setup. I would advise anyone going this route if you want perfect stills of the golf swing you really need closer to 60k lumens or more and crank the exposure time as low as the lighting allows. You will need access to exposure time settings to get the most out of the camera. The manufacturer should have an SDK for you to adjust settings.

Thank you. I’ll try it on 0.9.4 before installing 0.9.5.

Do you have mirroring active on the camera side?

No

Image rotation?

Yes 90 degrees counterclockwise on capture 1 and 90 degrees clockwise on capture 2.

Do you have a default playback KVA file that is loaded with every video that has mirroring maybe?

No, text box is blank

Can you locate the last captured file and see if there is a .kva file of the same name, open it, and look in the first lines for

It reads <Mirror>false</Mirror>

Is the camera streaming MJPEG or something else

Cameras are DAHENG MER2-160-227U3M. Great recommendation on the cameras and thanks for adding support. Great camera at a great price.

I just recorded a desktop capture to show you what I am experiencing. I forgot to show that if even if I select "mirror image" for the Replay Folder Observer instance it still produces a mirrored image vs the uncompressed captures. It made me think, should I choose mirror image for the capture instead? I would like it to work like uncompressed recordings but beggers should not be choosy. Another couple questions if you have a moment.

1. Is there a way to get the Replay Folder Observer to sync and replay? On my captures, they have a mind of their own. One will start and play then end then nothing. It never pulls the other capture into playing and most of the time capture "-2" starts first otherwise 10% of the time "-1" starts first.
2. How would setup changes to make it loop and change the loop speed after a full play or is that even possible?
3. Loved both user manuals, old and new and read them cover to cover.

Not sure this is a bug or user error. Compression of video captures to MP4 produces a mirrored image when using a replay folder observer. Uncompressed recordings do not have mirroring. I tried to just set the replay to mirror but it requires repeating the process for each replay video.
