Can we have the facility to rotate a video clip so it can be set up the right way round.

Ideally for me this feature would be provided by the video decoding library. I'd like to retrieve the images directly rotated and be oblivious to this fact in all the rest of the code.
Last time I checked the decoding library didn't offer this feature (although it was worked on I think). I'll have to check again.

This is a must for me as I often receive videos turned sideways.

Windows Movie Maker simply has a "rotate right" button and you can flip the video.

Yes I agree that having a tool button to rotate the video image by 90 degrees at a time would allow the image to be rotated to the correct orientation.  I have had a number of videos opened and they need to be rotated by 90, 180, or 270 degrees to be viewed and analyzed.

I think it's more important to follow the rotation flag on the video. iOS and others don't rotate the video, they just set the rotation flag.
