Hi Joan!
Im using Kinovea to compare trajectories.
I appreciate the measurement featue from the line drawing tool!
Is it possible to implement your measurement algorythm (from the line drawing menu) to the trajectory menu?
By now im using the Export funktion to manually analyse trajectories. This needs a lot of time :-(
That feature would be great!
Thank you!
Stephan

Hi,

What do we need to measure exactly ?
The total length of the trailing path ? The length of each segment ?
What would be the best way to display the measures without too much confusion ?

Thanks

Hi Joan!
I'm mainly interested in the length of the currently displayed trajectory in a keyframe. I usually export it to excel.
I think it's not necessary to display it in realtime. - That would be a litte bit confusing - you're right! Only at the end of tracking it would be interesting to view the lenght from start- to endpoint of the trajectory in the current frame. Maybe you can add an item in the trajectory menu to display the length.

Great Thanks!

Ok, I understand better, thanks.

However, remember that to get meaningful results, all the points on the trajectory will have to be on the same plane, perpendicular to the camera axis.
Otherwise distances get distorted by perspective.
