Here is the solution: http://codelaboratories.com/forums/viewthread/117/P10/

But it is not possible to set other values, for example 30 fps. I have only two options (640x480@75 and 320x240@125).

Has anybody more values to choose?

I have found the origin of this issue, but it is in external code. It will get fixed eventually, but not in the very next version.
It might impact other cameras too : only one configuration per image size is visible.

After all Andrew from AForge (library used in Kinovea for DirectShow capture and image filters) has reacted super fast to my query and included the change big_smile
So in 0.8.13, the configuration page should now display all the possible options, even if there are several frame rates for a single resolution.

Wow, thats amazing! I haven't tested it yet. But yesterday i have made a first session with the ps3 cam and it is very nice. The higher frame rates are very useful. And i got my ps3eye for 18 €!

The only issue is when i record the video with 75 fps it keeps playing too fast in the analysis view.

It works! big_smile

Hello Sven.  I got a Vista Home, PS3eye, Kinovea 8.13, but I can NOT get it going more than 640x480 30fps. Would you mind writing an explanation on how to do it...?
Please!

Just put the "cleye.config" file in the kinovea folder (C:\Program Files\Kinovea).

Download here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/450776214/cleye.config

Or create a files that is called "cleye.config" with the following content:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<cleye>
    <item name="mode" value="advanced" />
</cleye>

And by the way, upgrade to Windows 7.

Hi all,
I'm new in this forum and as a Kinovea user. Thanks a lot for this wonderful piece of software!
From what I read, I think I'll buy a PS3 eye Camera (anyone disagrees?). My laptop has a few years and I think I won't be able to capture video in maximum resolution - any kind of idea about hardware requirements/improvements?
I understood that Kinovea will soon be able to capture directly from the camera. But right now, what software do you use to capture video from PS3eye?

Thank you and best regards,

Romeu

Now how to make your ps3 eye enable in Kinovea in more frames then 30

1) download and install a driver from: http://codelaboratories.com/downloads
2) open Notepad
3) copy the stuff below and paste into notepad page

?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<cleye>
    <item name="mode" value="advanced" />
</cleye>

4) Save as: cleye.config  in Kinovea folder in your Program Files

Hope that resolved your problems
