Hello, I am a Pickleball instructor and would like to edit videos of my students play to provide feedback to them. My idea would be to record practice sessions or even games and then edit those videos with my voice over comments and visual markers to highlight specific points I am trying to make regarding their play. I have no experience with video editing and would need something fairly simple and easy to use. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Peter Keithly pfkeithly@gmail.com

It sounds like you're looking for a simple and intuitive way to provide feedback to your Pickleball students through video editing! I recommend starting with software like iMovie (for Mac users) or Shotcut (for both Windows and Mac), as they are beginner-friendly yet have the tools you’ll need for basic editing. Both allow you to add voice-over commentary, insert visual markers like arrows or highlights, and cut or trim the video as needed. You can also look into apps like InShot or Adobe Premiere Rush if you prefer mobile solutions. These tools are designed with simplicity in mind, so you'll be able to focus on giving great feedback rather than struggling with complicated editing processes. Once you're comfortable, you can experiment with adding text or slow-motion clips to further enhance your lessons!
