hi there.
I have a some question,
I wonder why my MP4 video files aren't opening?

FileBrowserUserInterface.
1584 - ERROR - [4] - VideoReaderFFMpeg - The file C:\Users\      \Desktop\KakaoTalk_20241010_204347278.mp4 could not be openned. (Wrong path or not a video/image.)
1584 - ERROR - [4] - VideoReaderFFMpeg - The file C:\Users\      \Desktop\Project001.mp4 could not be openned. (Wrong path or not a video/image.)
1584 - ERROR - [4] - VideoReaderFFMpeg - The file C:\Users\      \Desktop\Project002.mp4 could not be openned. (Wrong path or not a video/image.)

these my Kinovea log file data.

How are the files created? What video player can read them? Could you share a small sample file in a new issue in github (click Bugs at the bottom of this page) or by email joan at kinovea dot org. Thanks.

I am a first-time user.
Has this issue been resolved?
I primarily plan to use it for vehicle accident analysis, but most of the MP4 files extracted from vehicle dashcams fail to open.

I'm reviewing the forum for old bugs.

Based on the original post having the files in the "KakaoTalk" folder and based on second user username being "taehyun" I think this is related to the bug that was specific to Korean locale, this bug has been reported to me many times by Korean users.

I think this should be fixed in the next version 2026.1. I don't have a Korean system myself to verify the fix though, so if anyone wants to help please reach out, thanks.
