Hi, does anyone have a problem to start the stopwatch?
I can't set the "start" and "finish" because the only option is "to set the actual time as origin".
You can see a screenshot here:

Hi,
There are two different time tools, the Stopwatch (Cronómetro) and the Clock (Reloj). The clock object only shows a relative time and doesn't have start/stop commands. Somehow you are using a clock object.
If you right click on the tool in the tool bar you should see both objects.
It's also possible to convert one to the other by going into right click > Configuration and checking or unchecking "Clock".
Lastly, if it always act as a clock even when you select the stopwatch tool, double check the default options by going into the "Color profile" (last button on the toolbar or right click with the tool active), find the stopwatch and make sure it has the "Clock" option unchecked.
Excelent! Thank You very much Joan. It's solved!!
Best regards
Hi I am new to Kinovea , very difficult, cannnot figure out the stop watch, I want to record the time between the Tennis video, i am a coach, toss and contact on the serve? thank You
- Move in the timeline to the start image (toss).
- Click the stopwatch button in the toolbar and click somewhere in the image to add the stopwatch object.
- Right click the stopwatch object and do Action > Start a new time section
- Move in the timeline to the end image (contact).
- Right click the stopwatch and do Action > Stop
The stopwatch object should show the duration.
Instead of using the menu for start/stop you can use the keyboard shortcut: F5.
I think the introduction of the multi-time intervals feature has made it less intuitive for the simple use-case.
I knew this would happen but it's really not ideal. I'll see if I can restore the old, simpler stopwatch or rewrite it using the advanced one.
All the icons for the stopwatch/clock/counter are also a little bit too similar.
